| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Jeffrey Ritsert of Oak Park, who passed |
| 4 | | away on August 24, 2017; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Jeffrey Ritsert was born in Oak Park to Larry |
| 6 | | Ritsert and Elaine Pierce on May 9, 1992; he graduated from |
| 7 | | Grace Lutheran School in River Forest in 2006 and demonstrated |
| 8 | | an amazing aptitude for door-to-door sales during the annual |
| 9 | | Cub Scout popcorn drives; he graduated from Oak Park and River |
| 10 | | Forest High School in Oak Park in 2010, where he excelled in |
| 11 | | musical theater; he sang with the Madrigal Choir of Grace |
| 12 | | Episcopal Church in Oak Park, and loved the music and friends |
| 13 | | he made there; he attended Knox College in Galesburg; and
|
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Jeffrey Ritsert and some of the good friends he |
| 15 | | made at Knox College moved to Redmond, Washington in 2014 to |
| 16 | | share a home; he and his friends produced a monthly podcast on |
| 17 | | gaming and were selected to present at the 2017 Emerald City |
| 18 | | Comic Con in Seattle, Washington; and
|
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Jeffrey Ritsert worked as a waiter at a British |
| 20 | | pub and took classes at Bellevue College in Washington; his |
| 21 | | family, friends, and co-workers, in both Oak Park and Redmond, |
| 22 | | affectionately endured his cheerful, never-ending, atrociously |
