SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Carolyn L. Simone, who passed away on 
4October 22, 2017; and
  
 
  
5    WHEREAS, Carolyn Simone was the matriarch of a family of 
6dedicated public servants; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Carolyn Simone's kindness, patience, and 
8contributions to her community will never be forgotten; and
  
 
  
9    WHEREAS, Carolyn Simone was the beloved wife of Samuel J. 
10"Sam" Simone; the loving mother of Susan (Dan Adcock) Simone, 
11Terri (Pat) Lorenz, Lori (Larry) Haack, Patti Simone, Debbie 
12(Scott) Zimmerman, Joseph (Amy) Simone, John (Regina) Simone, 
13and Angela (Nick) Ochoa; the proud grandmother of 21 
14grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; the dear daughter of the 
15late Helen (Bailey) and Edward Martin; the cherished sister of 
16Barbara Martin, Edward (Josie) Martin, and Charles Martin; the 
17fond sister-in-law of Sharon and the late Anthony Simone; and 
18uncle to many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
  
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
20ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
21Carolyn L. Simone, and extend our sincere condolences to her
