| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Roger Herman Adler of Woodstock, who |
| 4 | | passed away on October 5, 2017; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Roger Adler was born in Madison, Wisconsin to Matt |
| 6 | | and Marian Adler on December 10, 1953; he moved to Illinois as |
| 7 | | a teen and graduated from Prospect High School; after |
| 8 | | graduation, he dove into the music business and taught lessons |
| 9 | | and played live shows; and
|
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Roger Adler was a successful composer, producer, |
| 11 | | and performer; his musical credits include television |
| 12 | | commercials, the television show Wild Chicago, a movie |
| 13 | | soundtrack, an Emmy nomination, and performances with the |
| 14 | | Chicago-based Ken Arlen Orchestra; after his retirement, he |
| 15 | | continued to teach and work with local artists; and
|
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Roger Adler was unwaveringly positive and |
| 17 | | approached all of life's challenges with optimism; he was kind |
| 18 | | and sociable, and he easily connected with everyone around him; |
| 19 | | he was a friend to all; he spoke with great pride about his |
| 20 | | daughters; and
|
| 21 | | WHEREAS, Roger Adler was preceded in death by his parents; |
