SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of John Willis Gordon of Moline, who passed 
4away on September 10, 2017; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, John Gordon was born in Moline to Willis and 
6Lorraine Pickel Gordon on October  29, 1947; he served in the 
7United States Air Force during the Vietnam War; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, John Gordon  retired from Interstate Battery; and
  
 
  
9    WHEREAS, John Gordon was preceded in death by his parents 
10and his daughter, Jolyn Christine Gordon; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, John Gordon is survived by his children, Jamie 
12Mathis and Jason Gordon; five grandchildren; and his siblings, 
13Linda Mills, Monte Gordon, Elizabeth (Gary) Loy, Patrick 
14(Melissa) Gordon, and Susan Jordan; therefore, be it
  
 
15    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
16ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
17John Willis Gordon, and extend our sincere condolences to his 
18family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it

2presented to  the family of  John Gordon as an expression of our 
3deepest sympathy.
