SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of William "Bill" Frederick Stewart of 
4Hillsdale, who passed away on September 5, 2017; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, William Stewart was born in Canoe Creek Township, 
6Hillsdale, to Fred H. and Dorothea Michelson Stewart on July 9, 
71929; he joined the United States Army in 1951; he served his 
8country honorably, both as active duty and as a reserve; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, William Stewart owned Meier Construction Company 
10in Geneseo; he sold the business in 1980, but continued to work 
11there for another ten years; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, William Stewart was a member of the Geneseo Moose 
13Lodge #990 and the Hillsdale American Legion; he enjoyed 
14fishing, hunting squirrel and deer, and riding his bike; he was 
15an avid bowler, who maintained a 200 average and had one 
16perfect game; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, William Stewart was preceded in death by his 
18parents; his brother, Richard Stewart; and his sister, Maxine 
19Evans; and
  
 
20    WHEREAS, William Stewart is survived by his sister, Arlene

1Misfeldt; and several nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
  
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
4William "Bill" Frederick Stewart, and extend our sincere 
5condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved 
6him; and be it further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to the family of William Stewart as an expression of 
9our deepest sympathy.
