SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Aloysius and Lorraine (Serkowski) 
4Filipowicz of Lake Bluff, who passed away on September 13 and 
5September 14, 2017, respectively; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Aloysius Filipowicz served in the United States 
7Navy at Pearl Harbor during World War II; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Aloysius and Lorraine Filipowicz spent 72 
9inseparable years together; and
  
 
  
10    WHEREAS, Aloysius and Lorraine Filipowicz were preceded in 
11death by their son, Robert; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Aloysius and Lorraine Filipowicz are survived by 
13their son, Richard (Dorothy) Filipowicz; their daughter, 
14Patricia (Tony Schlei) Juhrend; five grandchildren; 15 
15great-grandchildren; and Aloysius' sister, Irene Marcinkowski; 
16therefore, be it
  
 
17    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
18ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
19both Aloysius and Lorraine Filipowicz, and extend our sincere 
20condolences to their family, friends, and all who knew and

1loved them; and be it further
  
 
2    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
3presented to  the family of  Aloysius and Lorraine Filipowicz as
