SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of James Francis Gallagher of Highland Park, 
4who passed away on August 6, 2017; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, James Gallagher was born in Highland Park; he
was 
6married to Dorothy Gallagher for 69 years; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, James Gallagher served during World War II as a 
8sergeant with the United States  Air Force 71st Bombardment 
9Squadron-Wolf Pack; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, James Gallagher was a deacon in the Catholic 
11Church, Chicago Archdiocese and served in many capacities at 
12St. James Catholic Church in Highwood; and
  
 
  
13    WHEREAS, James Gallagher is survived by
his children, Jamie 
14Gallagher, Cindy Gallagher, and Michael (Lisa) Gallagher; his 
15grandchildren, Michael and Mark (Sari) Gallagher; and his 
16great-grandchild,
Jules; therefore, be it
  
 
17    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
18ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
19James Francis Gallagher, and extend our sincere condolences to 
20his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
