SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of James P. Cutler of Silvis, who passed 
4away on July 18, 2017; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, James Cutler was born in Seymour, Iowa to William 
6and Rosalee McClintock Cutler on March 17, 1920; he married Iva 
7Lee Dooleyon in Princeton, Missouri on October 20, 1940; he  
8served in the United States Army during World War II and 
9participated in the  D-Day Omaha Beach invasion; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, James Cutler retired from Rock Island Lines after 
1143 years of service; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, James Cutler was a member of East Moline Legion 
13Post 227; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, James Cutler was preceded in death by his parents; 
15eight sisters; and two brothers; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, James Cutler is survived by his wife, Iva Lee; his 
17daughters, Linda Cutler and Judy Martel; three grandchildren; 
18and four great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
  
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL

1ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
2James P. Cutler, and extend our sincere condolences to his 
3family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
4further
  
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to  the family of  James Cutler as an expression of our 
7deepest sympathy.
