| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Chester B. "Chet" Zyskowski of Woodstock, |
| 4 | | who passed away on July 15, 2017; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Chester Zyskowski was born in Chicago to Nikodem |
| 6 | | and Cecilia (Grabowski) Zyskowski on May 14, 1928; he attended |
| 7 | | St. Bruno School in Chicago and then St. Rita High School; he |
| 8 | | served as a staff sergeant in the United States Army during the |
| 9 | | Korean War; he graduated from Ferris College, where he earned |
| 10 | | his Bachelor of Science and registered pharmacist |
| 11 | | certification; he married Jean Sochacki on October 8, 1955; and
|
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Chester Zyskowski managed the pharmacy in the |
| 13 | | K-Mart store in Woodstock for many years; and
|
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Before moving to the Woodstock area, Chester |
| 15 | | Zyskowski served as president of the home owners association at |
| 16 | | Foster Harlem in Chicago; he was a member of St. Mary Catholic |
| 17 | | Church in Woodstock, the P.A.P.A., the Woodstock VFW, and the |
| 18 | | Woodstock Moose, where he called bingo games for many years; he |
| 19 | | volunteered at Meals on Wheels and worked to bring the Dick |
| 20 | | Tracy Days Celebration back to Woodstock; he was a contestant |
| 21 | | on Wheel of Fortune and an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs; and
