| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of Elizabeth Briskovich of Bunker Hill, who | ||||||
| 4 | passed away on July 2, 2017; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Elizabeth Briskovich was born in Granite City to | ||||||
| 6 | Charles Dana and Gertrude (Bequette) Dana on March 22, 1925; | ||||||
| 7 | she married George E. Briskovich in Wilsonville on June 12, | ||||||
| 8 | 1948; and
| ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, Elizabeth Briskovich was a homemaker in the early | ||||||
| 10 | years of her marriage before working for the Olin Winchester | ||||||
| 11 | Division; she retired at the age of 62, after 24 years; and
| ||||||
| 12 | WHEREAS, Elizabeth Briskovich was a member of the | ||||||
| 13 | machinists union and the American Legion Auxiliary for many | ||||||
| 14 | years; she was also a member of St. Mary Church in Bunker Hill, | ||||||
| 15 | where she served on the Altar Society; she enjoyed many hobbies | ||||||
| 16 | during her life including cooking, gardening, sewing, | ||||||
| 17 | crocheting, quilting, and crafts; and
| ||||||
| 18 | WHEREAS, Elizabeth Briskovich was preceded in death by her | ||||||
| 19 | parents; her husband, George; her brothers, Charles Dana, Allie | ||||||
| 20 | Dana, and Joe Dana; and her sisters, Bernice Dana, Trudy King, | ||||||
| 21 | Margaret Oldenettel, and Bobbie Katich; and
| ||||||

| 1 | WHEREAS, Elizabeth Briskovich is survived by her sons, | ||||||
| 2 | Michael (Cathi) Briskovich and Randall C. (Gina) Briskovich; | ||||||
| 3 | her daughters, Joanne (Rory) Kahl and Dana (Tom) Benbenek; her | ||||||
| 4 | grandchildren, Greg (Joni) Briskovich, Chad (Keri) Briskovich, | ||||||
| 5 | Kimberly Briskovich, Zebadiah Briskovich, Shawn Garrett, | ||||||
| 6 | Bobbie Jo (Terry) Blevins, Staci (Greg) Blevins, Robbie (Tracy) | ||||||
| 7 | Kahl, Samantha Watson, and Alexander Watson; her | ||||||
| 8 | step-grandchildren, Steffanne (Josh) Adkins, Tommy Benbenek, | ||||||
| 9 | Hayden Benbenek, and Quin Benbenek; 15 great-grandchildren; | ||||||
| 10 | three great-great-grandchildren; her sisters, Rita Smith and | ||||||
| 11 | Helen (Steve) Zink; and many nieces and nephews; therefore, be | ||||||

| 13 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 14 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
| 15 | Elizabeth Briskovich, and extend our sincere condolences to her | ||||||
| 16 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | ||||||
| 17 | further

| 18 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 19 | presented to the family of Elizabeth Briskovich as an | ||||||
