| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Anthony Louis Christopulos of Waukegan, |
| 4 | | who passed away on May 18, 2017; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Anthony Christopulos was born in Cheyenne, |
| 6 | | Wyoming to Louis and Helen Christopulos on April 10, 1927; he |
| 7 | | married Ann in 1955; and
|
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Anthony Christopulos was an adventurer at heart |
| 9 | | and held approximately 82 jobs throughout his 90 years; he sold |
| 10 | | newspapers during the Great Depression, worked at a movie |
| 11 | | theater in Nebraska, and traveled throughout Mexico; he opened |
| 12 | | up the Burgundy Room, a bar that he ran with his brother, Bob, |
| 13 | | for 32 years; and
|
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Anthony Christopulos was affectionately known as |
| 15 | | "Tony" or "Gatch"; he was a fan of the University of Wyoming |
| 16 | | Cowboys; he was known as a trickster, a jokester, and one not |
| 17 | | to take life too seriously; he was an avid fisherman and could |
| 18 | | be found most evenings in the summer, fishing the ponds at |
| 19 | | Bonnie Brook Golf Course; and
|
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Anthony Christopulos was proceeded in death by his |
| 21 | | parents; his siblings, Jim, Nick, Kay, George, Bob, and Iris; |
