SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Geri N. Davis, who passed away on June 5, 
42017; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Geri Davis was born to Edward and Grace 
6(Kirschbaum) Karlic on April 15; she married John Landon in 
7McHenry on April 9, 1999; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Geri Davis was the executive director of the 
9Republican Party of McHenry County for over 30 years; she also 
10served as a precinct committeeman in McHenry for more than 30 
11years; she worked as a congressional aide for Phil Crane and as 
12a senatorial aide for Dick Klemm and Pam Althoff; she was very 
13active in St. Patrick Catholic Church in McHenry; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Geri Davis received the "Catholic Woman of 
15Inspiration Award" in 2010; she was an avid fan of the Chicago 
16Cubs; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Geri Davis was preceded in death by her parents; 
18and
  
 
19    WHEREAS, Geri Davis is survived by her loving husband, 
20John; her children, Mary Krein Deruiter, Faith (Scott) Brady,

1and Donald Davis (Barbara Stuckwisch); her stepson, Richard 
2Davis; her grandchildren, Kevin Krein, Charles O'Donnell, 
3Tyler Brady, and Brittany Lech; and her sisters, Bernadine 
4Karlic and Constance Mosser; therefore, be it
  
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
7Geri N. Davis, and extend our sincere condolences to her 
8family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it 
9further
  
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
11presented to  the family of  Geri Davis as an expression of our 
12deepest sympathy.
