SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Thomas A. Tincher of Lake Bluff, who 
4passed away on June 18, 2017; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Thomas Tincher attended Shattuck School in 
6Faribault, Minnesota and Northwestern University in Evanston; 
7he served in the United States Army as a Special Duty CIC field 
8officer; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Thomas Tincher's advertising career with the 
10Chicago Tribune spanned more than 40 years in the classified 
11and marketing departments; as a volunteer for LFTV Channel 19, 
12he produced and hosted dozens of "Meet Your Business Neighbor" 
13programs; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Thomas Tincher was active in his community; he 
15served as Lake Bluff Village Clerk, Lake Bluff Village Trustee, 
16and was a Lake Bluff History Museum board member; he was also a 
17member of the Rotary and American Legion Post 510; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Thomas Tincher was preceded in death by his  
19sister, Toni Stiles; and
  
 
20    WHEREAS, Thomas Tincher is survived by his wife of 63

1years, Ethel; his children, Mike (Jo), Cliff (Kelly), Tom, 
2Holly (Todd), and Sid (Heide); his grandchildren, Lila, Hanna, 
3Slaid, and Shane;  and his sister, Jenny Cleaves; therefore, be

5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
7Thomas A. Tincher, and extend our sincere condolences to his 
8family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
9further
  
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
11presented to  the family of  Thomas Tincher as an expression of 
12our deepest sympathy.
