SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Gary L. Lee of Moline, who passed away on 
4June 4, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Gary Lee was born in Galesburg to Louis D. and 
6Mildred E. Gillespie Lee on July 12, 1939;  he graduated from 
7St. Ambrose University; he served in the United States Army 
8from July of 1963 to October of 1968; he married Dee Abrahamson 
9in the Quad Cities in 1965; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Gary Lee was the owner and operator of Gary Lee 
11and Associates, a tax accounting firm in East Moline; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Gary Lee was a loving husband, father, brother, 
13and fun-loving friend; he was a competitive athlete, enjoyed 
14sports, and loved animals; and

  
 
15    WHEREAS, Gary Lee was preceded in death by his parents and 
16his former wife, Dee; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Gary Lee is survived by his significant other, 
18Sharon Russell; his children, Tracy (Doug Foutz) Lee and David 
19Lee; and his siblings, Shirley Anderson, Barbara Perry, Randy 
20Lee, and Rodney (Kim) Lee; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3Gary L. Lee, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, 
4friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to the family of Gary Lee as an expression of our 
7deepest sympathy.
