| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Gertrude B. Whitton of Des Plaines, who |
| 4 | | passed away on May 15, 2017 at the age of 100; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Gertrude Whitton married Robert Whitton on March |
| 6 | | 13, 1937; and
|
| 7 | | WHEREAS, Gertrude Whitton was preceded in death by her |
| 8 | | husband, Robert, and four siblings; and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Gertrude Whitton is survived by her children, |
| 10 | | Robert J. and Nancy (Matt) Sheridan; six grandchildren; and 11 |
| 11 | | great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
|
| 12 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL |
| 13 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
| 14 | | Gertrude B. Whitton, and extend our sincere condolences to her |
| 15 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it |
| 16 | | further

| 17 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 18 | | presented to the family of Gertrude Whitton as an expression of |
| 19 | | our deepest sympathy.
