SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Larry O. Klemm of Gurnee, who passed away 
4on May 7, 2017; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Larry Klemm was born in Medford, Wisconsin to 
6Margaret Thompsen and Arthur Klemm on June 4, 1928; he served 
7in the United States Army in 1945 and graduated from Warren 
8Township High School in 1947; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Larry Klemm enjoyed serving his community; he was 
10a volunteer fireman in Gurnee; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Larry Klemm was a past president of the Gurnee 
12Lion's Club and was an active member of the Gurnee American 
13Legion; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Larry Klemm was the Gurnee Days Honoree in 2002, a 
15distinction he treasured; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Larry Klemm is survived by his wife, Lois Klemm 
17(Hagstrom); his children, Michael (Patty) Klemm, Mark 
18(Michele) Klemm, Marty (Chris) Klemm, Maryl (Ken) Smith, and 
19Margie Klemm; 12 grandchildren; and eight  great-grandchildren;

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3Larry O. Klemm, and extend our sincere condolences to his 
4family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
5further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to  the family of  Larry Klemm as an expression of our 
8deepest sympathy.
