| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Barbara J. Winterland of Fairbury, who |
| 4 | | passed away on December 14, 2016; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Barbara Winterland was born in Fairbury to Andrew |
| 6 | | and Edith (VanAlstyne) Steidinger on June 19, 1929; she married |
| 7 | | N. E. "Hap" DeFries; she later married Glenn Winterland at |
| 8 | | Immanuel Lutheran Church on December 27, 1991; and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Barbara Winterland was preceded in death by her |
| 10 | | husband, Glenn; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Barbara Winterland is survived by her children, |
| 12 | | Paul (Mary) DeFries, Jon (Brenda) DeFries, Alan (Peggy) |
| 13 | | DeFries, and Maggie (George) Miller; six grandchildren; and |
| 14 | | five great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
|
| 15 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL |
| 16 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
| 17 | | Barbara J. Winterland, and extend our sincere condolences to |
| 18 | | her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it |
