| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Paul L. Cook of Milan, who passed away on |
| 4 | | May 7, 2017; and |
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Paul Cook was born in Lauratown, Arkansas to Paul |
| 6 | | Cook and Lela Johnson Cook on April 6, 1943; he served in the |
| 7 | | United States Army in Korea and married Holly Krueger; he then |
| 8 | | married Neva McKinley in Union County on April 13, 1993; and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Paul Cook worked for the J.I. Case Company (now |
| 10 | | Case Corporation) for 30 years until his retirement in 1994; |
| 11 | | and
|
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Paul Cook was a member of First Landmark |
| 13 | | Missionary Baptist Church in Rock Island, the Milan American |
| 14 | | Legion Post No. 569, and the Rock Island Conservation Club; he |
| 15 | | served on the board of directors for the J.I. Case Credit |
| 16 | | Union, the J.I. Case Safety Committee, and the executive board |
| 17 | | of 806; and
|
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Paul Cook enjoyed gardening, fishing, and |
| 19 | | spending time with his grandchildren; and
|
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Paul Cook was preceded in death by his parents and |
