SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Loretta E. "Babs" Enloe of Edwardsville, who passed away on February 20, 2017 at the age of 81; and

WHEREAS, Loretta Enloe was born in Mars, Pennsylvania to Arthur and Loretta (Craig) Nuernberg on June 21, 1935; she married Jack H. Enloe at St. John's United Methodist Church in Edwardsville on May 21, 1954; and

WHEREAS, Loretta Enloe operated her own retail shoe store in Edwardsville for many years and later had a successful consulting business; she was an active member of the First Christian Church in Edwardsville, and the Edwardsville PEO; and

WHEREAS, Loretta Enloe was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jack; two brothers, Arthur and William Nuernberg; and two sisters, Dolores Lauderbaugh and Charlotte Brown; and

WHEREAS, Loretta Enloe is survived by two sons, Jack H. Enloe and his wife Yonsook, and C. Lindsay Enloe and his wife, Michelle; three daughters, Elizabeth A. Enloe, Tracy T. Wetzel and her husband, Richard, and Loretta Ellen Scheibal and her husband, Jeff; 13 grandchildren, Jack Enloe, Sally (Tom) Ford, Matthew (Jessie) Enloe, Tyler (Zhanell) Enloe, Aaron (Laura) Enloe, Nathan Shaw, Dane Shaw, Amanda (Nathan) Gibson, Eliza (Caleb) Pautz, J.C. (Marisa) Wetzel, Zachary (Bryant) Scheibal, Jacob Scheibal, and Samuel (Ashley) Scheibal; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Ann Bailey; and one sister-in-law, Shirley (Al) Wiegand; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Loretta "Babs" Enloe, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Loretta Enloe as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
