| 2 |  |     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to  | 
| 3 |  | learn of the death of Marjorie P. Bogart, who passed away on  | 
| 4 |  | February 2, 2017 at the age of 92; and
     | 
| 5 |  |     WHEREAS, Marjorie Bogart was born in Murrayville to Harvey  | 
| 6 |  | and Josephine (Wilson) Hayes on February 28, 1924; and
     | 
| 7 |  |     WHEREAS, Marjorie Bogart attended Main Street Methodist  | 
| 8 |  | Church in Alton; she spent several years working for GTE,  | 
| 9 |  | relocating to Buffalo, New York, before returning to the  | 
| 10 |  | Midwest in 1974; while in the Bloomington/Normal area, she made  | 
| 11 |  | many lasting friendships including those from Crestwicke  | 
| 12 |  | Country Club that continued for the rest of her life; she began  | 
| 13 |  | her own cosmetic and color analysis business in 1982, and  | 
| 14 |  | eventually relocated to Godfrey where she joined her daughters  | 
| 15 |  | at Josephine's Tea Rooms & Gift Shops; she enjoyed many years  | 
| 16 |  | developing and preparing the very popular "fashion shows" in  | 
| 17 |  | the tea room and will always be remembered for her passion for  | 
| 18 |  | fashion, although family was always her first love; and
     | 
| 19 |  |     WHEREAS, Marjorie Bogart was preceded in death by her  | 
| 20 |  | husband; her two brothers, Murell and Maurice Hayes; and her  | 
| 21 |  | sister, Francis Grimm; and   |
