SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Frances Graham-Stults of Carlinville, who passed away on February 7, 2017; and

WHEREAS, Frances Graham-Stults was born in Atwater to William and Pearl (Bacon) Crouch on December 12, 1925; she attended Atwater and South Standard City Grade Schools and Carlinville High School; she married Henry Graham on December 12, 1941; she married Eldon Leroy Stults in Piggott, Arkansas on August 18, 1948; and

WHEREAS, Frances Graham-Stults was a nurse's aid for the Carlinville Area Hospital, a ward clerk, and a housewife and mother; and

WHEREAS, Frances Graham-Stults was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and enjoyed gardening; and

WHEREAS, Frances Graham-Stults was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Henry; her second husband, Eldon; her daughters, Judith Jean Graham-Richie Scott, and Brenda Lou Stults-Volsen-Dolder; one grandchild; her siblings, Dorothy Steward, Helen Clevenger, Harold Crouch, Stanley Crouch, Charles Crouch, and Marquerite Walden-Riecks-Engelman; and

WHEREAS, Frances Graham-Stults is survived by her children, Margaret Graham-Burleson, William Henry Graham, Edwin Lee Stults, Thomas Roy Stults, and Rebecca Jane Stults-Delich; 16 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; her sister, Mary Jane Rosentreter-Cottingham; her sister, Wilma Modlin; her brother, Millard Herbert "Herbie" Crouch; and several nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Frances Graham-Stults, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Frances Graham-Stults as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
