| 3 | | learn of the death of Edna E. Cannon of Alton, who passed away |
| 4 | | on January 31, 2017; and

| 5 | | WHEREAS, Edna Cannon was born to David E. and Nora L. |
| 6 | | (Hawkins) Keen on July 2, 1921; she married Ellison W. Cannon |
| 7 | | on June 2, 1946; and
|
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Edna Cannon was employed by the Alton Public |
| 9 | | School System, the Duncan Family, and Monticello College in |
| 10 | | Godfrey; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Edna Cannon was a member of the Lincoln Douglas |
| 12 | | Banquet Board, and a longtime member of the Busy Fingers Sewing |
| 13 | | Club; she was a member of Model Chapel AME Church, now Trinity |
| 14 | | AME Church; and
|
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Edna Cannon was preceded in death by her husband, |
| 16 | | Ellison; her parents; an infant son, Ellison Jr.; and her |
| 17 | | sisters and brothers, Nora Mae Keen, William L. Keen, David |
| 18 | | Keen, and Stella Keen-Johnson; and
|
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Edna Cannon is survived by her sons, David Cannon, |
| 20 | | Dennis Cannon, and Larry Cannon; her grandson, Joshua Cannon; |
