| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Marion E. O'Connell of Waukegan, who |
| 4 | | passed away on February 1, 2017; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Marion O'Connell was born in Chicago to Clyde and |
| 6 | | Grace Monnier on February 26, 1928; and
|
| 7 | | WHEREAS, Marion O'Connell worked in the transportation |
| 8 | | department of the Veterans Administration Hospital, retiring |
| 9 | | in 1993; and |
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Marion O'Connell enjoyed playing bingo and loved |
| 11 | | her "puppies" who were always at her side; and
|
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Marion O'Connell was preceded in death by her |
| 13 | | husband, Jerry; her daughter, LaVerne; her parents; her sister, |
| 14 | | Charlotte Barrett; her brother-in-law, Phil Barrett; and her |
| 15 | | sister-in-law, Sally; and
|
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Marion O'Connell is survived by her children, |
| 17 | | Diane (Bert) Tarnowske, Bob (Deb) O'Connell, and Jerry, Dan, |
| 18 | | and Michelle (Bill) Stolarik; 14 grandchildren; 10 |
| 19 | | great-grandchildren; her brother, Clyde Monnier; her sisters, |
| 20 | | Jean (Ed) Hopkins, and Sharon (Bob) Kozlowski; and many nieces, |
