SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Gerald R. Shryack of Rock Island, who 
4passed away on January 1, 2017; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Gerald Shryack was born in Macomb to Lawson and 
6Georgianna Fawcett Shryack on March 31, 1924; he proudly served 
7his country in the United States Army during World War II; and 
8he was married for more than 25 years; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Gerald Shryack worked at McLaughlin Body as an 
10assembler; he retired in 1989; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Gerald Shryack greatly enjoyed golfing and 
12fishing; in his younger years he enjoyed taking care of his 
13lawn; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Gerald Shryack was preceded in death by his 
15parents and three brothers; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Gerald Shryack is survived by his children, Marsha 
17Shryack, Jennifer Koberstein, Jerry (Nancy) Shryack, and Kevin 
18Shryack; his four grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 
19one great-great-grandchild; his brothers, Ferman and Rod 
20Shryack; and his sister, Patty Ann Tieman; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his 
3family and friends, mourn the passing of Gerald R. Shryack, and 
4extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all 
5who knew and loved him; and be it further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to the family of Gerald Shryack as an expression of 
8our deepest sympathy.
