| 2 | | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 2999 on page 1, |
| 3 | | line 15, after "employer.", by inserting "An employer is not |
| 4 | | responsible for losses due to an employee's own negligence, |
| 5 | | losses due to normal wear, or losses due to theft unless the |
| 6 | | theft was a result of the employer's negligence."; and

| 7 | | on page 2, line 7, after "policy.", by inserting "If the |
| 8 | | written expense reimbursement policy of an employer |
| 9 | | establishes specifications or guidelines for necessary |
| 10 | | expenditures, the employer is not liable under this Section for |
| 11 | | the portion of the expenditure amount that exceeds the |
| 12 | | specifications or guidelines of the policy so long as the |
| 13 | | employer does not institute a policy that provides for no |
| 14 | | reimbursement or de minimis reimbursement.".
