AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 2527 




2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 2527, AS AMENDED, 
3by replacing everything after the enacting clause with the 
4following:


 
5    "Section 5. The School Code is amended by renumbering and 
6changing Section 10-20.60, as added by Public Act 100-133, as 
7follows:
 
8    (105 ILCS 5/10-20.62)
9    Sec. 10-20.62 10-20.60. Dual enrollment and dual credit 
10notification. 
11    (a) In this Section, "dual credit course" has the meaning 
12ascribed to that term in the Dual Credit Quality Act.
13    (b) A qualified student shall be allowed to enroll in an 
14unlimited amount of dual credit courses and earn an unlimited 
15amount of academic credits from dual credit courses if the 
16courses are taught by an Illinois instructor, as provided under

1the Dual Credit Quality Act. 
2    (c) A school board shall require the school district's high 
3schools, if any, to inform all 11th and 12th grade students of 
4dual enrollment and dual credit opportunities at public 
5community colleges for qualified students.
