| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The Trusts and Trustees Act is amended by |
| 5 | | changing Section 6.5 as follows:

| 7 | | Sec. 6.5. Transfer of property to trust. |
| 8 | | (a) The transfer of real property to a trust requires a |
| 9 | | transfer of legal title to the trustee evidenced by a written |
| 10 | | instrument of conveyance and acceptance by the trustee. |
| 11 | | (b) (Blank) If the transferor is a trustee of the trust, an |
| 12 | | interest in real property does not become trust property unless |
| 13 | | the instrument of conveyance is recorded in the office of the |
| 14 | | recorder of the county in which the property is located.
