| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The Fire Sprinkler Contractor Licensing Act is |
| 5 | | amended by changing Section 5 as follows:

that within |

Illinois there are, and
may continue to be, |
| 9 | | locations where the improper installation or repair of fire

creates conditions that may adversely affect |

welfare. Therefore, the
purpose |
| 12 | | of this Act is to protect, promote, and preserve the public |
| 13 | | health and
general welfare by
providing for the establishment |
| 14 | | of minimum standards for licensure of fire
sprinkler |
| 15 | | installation
contractors. |
