AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 1522

AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 1522 by replacing everything after the enacting clause with the following:

"Section 5. The Illinois Public Aid Code is amended by changing Section 5F-10 as follows:

(305 ILCS 5/5F-10)

Sec. 5F-10. Scope. This Article applies to policies and contracts amended, delivered, issued, or renewed on or after the effective date of this amendatory Act of the 98th General Assembly for the nursing home component of the Medicare-Medicaid Alignment Initiative and the Managed Long-Term Services and Support Program. This Article does not diminish a managed care organization's duties and responsibilities under other federal or State laws or rules adopted under those laws and the 3-way Medicare-Medicaid Alignment Initiative contract and the Managed Long-Term Services and Support Program contract. The Department in collaboration with the General Assembly, managed care organizations, and providers shall determine what changes, if any, shall be made to the Managed Long-Term Services and Support Program as a result of federal managed care regulations finalized in 2016.
