| 1 | | AN ACT concerning State government.
|
| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The Emergency Management Assistance Compact Act |
| 5 | | is amended by changing Section 10 as follows: |
| 6 | | (45 ILCS 151/10) |
| 7 | | Sec. 10. Reimbursements and expenses. The Illinois |
| 8 | | Emergency Management Agency as the authorized representative |
| 9 | | of the State may use the Disaster Response and Recovery Fund to |
| 10 | | deposit any reimbursements received from a party state and to |
| 11 | | pay any expenses incurred relating to this Act.

| 12 | | Upon the request for and acceptance of assistance of the |
| 13 | | Illinois National Guard by a party state, the Governor may |
| 14 | | identify available funds and request that the Comptroller shall |
| 15 | | direct and the Treasurer shall transfer those funds as needed |
| 16 | | to the Illinois National Guard State Active Duty Fund in order |
| 17 | | to support the salaries and other costs for soldiers on |
| 18 | | Illinois State Active Duty status. Upon the receipt of |
| 19 | | reimbursement from the party state or any other source, the |
| 20 | | Illinois Emergency Management Agency shall reimburse the |
| 21 | | Illinois National Guard State Active Duty Fund in accordance |
| 22 | | with Section 56-2 of the Military Code of Illinois and shall |
| 23 | | request that the Comptroller shall direct and the Treasurer |
