| 2 | | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 880 as follows:

| 3 | | on page 3, immediately below line 25, by inserting the |
| 4 | | following:

| 5 | | "Section 20. ALPR system data retention. A State or local |
| 6 | | law enforcement agency may retain ALPR system data for 5 years. |
| 7 | | After 5 years, the State or local law enforcement agency must |
| 8 | | create an internal record showing why data older than 5 years |
| 9 | | was accessed, and attach a case name and number, the name of |
| 10 | | the officer that accessed the data, the date, and an |
| 11 | | explanation for why the data was accessed."; and

| 12 | | on page 4, line 1, by replacing "20" with "25"; and
|
| 13 | | on page 4, line 17, by replacing "25" with "30".
