| 2 | | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 768 on page 10, by |
| 3 | | replacing lines 1 through 6 with the following:

| 4 | | "(5) The Secretary may shall consider the recommendation of |
| 5 | | the Board on all matters and questions relating to this Act, |
| 6 | | such as: (i) matters relating to continuing education, |
| 7 | | including the number of hours necessary for license renewal, |
| 8 | | waivers for those unable to meet such requirements, and |
| 9 | | acceptable course content and (ii) rules for administration of |
| 10 | | this Act."; and

| 11 | | by replacing line 21 on page 15 through line 2 on page 16 with |
| 12 | | the following:
|
| 13 | | "(c) Licensed social workers may not engage in independent |
| 14 | | practice of clinical social work without a clinical social |
| 15 | | worker license. In independent practice, a licensed social |

| 1 | | worker shall practice at all times under the order, control, |
| 2 | | and full professional responsibility of a licensed clinical |
| 3 | | social worker, a licensed clinical psychologist, a licensed |

| 5 | | family therapist, or a psychiatrist, as defined in Section |
| 6 | | 1-121 of the Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities |
| 7 | | Code."; and

| 8 | | on page 25, by replacing lines 1 through 6 with the following:

| 9 | | "(e) Failure of any person to submit to a mental or |
| 10 | | physical examination without reasonable cause, when ordered |
| 11 | | directed, shall result in an automatic be grounds for |
| 12 | | suspension of his or her a license until the person submits to |
| 13 | | the examination if the Board finds, after notice and hearing, |
| 14 | | that the refusal to submit to the examination was without |
| 15 | | reasonable cause.".
