| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The Fugitive Apprehension Reward Act is amended |
| 5 | | by changing Section 16 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (725 ILCS 170/16) (from Ch. 60, par. 16)

| 7 | | Sec. 16.
For the
the purpose of providing a fund for the |
| 8 | | payment of said
rewards and disbursements, the said county |
| 9 | | boards are hereby authorized to
levy a tax, annually, of such |
| 10 | | amounts as to them may seem necessary, for
the purpose herein |
| 11 | | contemplated; said taxes to be levied and collected in
the same |
| 12 | | manner as other taxes for county purposes are by law authorized |
| 13 | | to
be levied and collected. |
