HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Susan (Chester) Fine; and

WHEREAS, Susan Fine was the dedicated spokesperson for Ingalls Memorial Hospital, where she served as Director of Marketing for the last 41 years; and

WHEREAS, Susan Fine received the 2017 Richard K. Desser M.D. Spirit of Life Award for her work in developing programs and partnering Ingalls Memorial Hospital with the Cancer Support Center; she coordinated all of the cancer related programming facilitated by Ingalls staff and oversaw the success of the US TOO Prostate group; she also orchestrated the combined marketing initiatives between the Cancer Support Center and Ingalls; and

WHEREAS, Susan Fine was the beloved wife of Mark; the loving mother of Stephanie (Brian) Roughton and Ben and Andy (Joy); the adored grandmother of Jonah Chaim, Eva Olivia Joy, Jordan Douglas, and Molly Jayne; the devoted daughter of the late Jerome and Anita Chester; the dear sister of the late Linda "Binny" Kaufman; the precious daughter-in-love of Lois Fine; the loved sister-in-law of Hal (Lois), Ron (Judy), and Michael (Johnah); the treasured cousin of Ellen (Andy) Burton, Penny (Arthur) Hecht, and Steve Felkowitz; the adored aunt of Michelle, David, Michael, Marla, Hannah, Jake, Zach, Josh, Samantha, Sara, Isabelle, Elijah, and Forrest; and the cherished matriarch to the community of the extended Fine family and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Susan Fine and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Susan Fine as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
