HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate Barbara Rose Talaski on 
4the occasion of her 100th birthday on November 3, 2018; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Barbara Talaski has resided in Calumet Park longer 
6than anyone else; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Barbara Talaski worked at Harvester during World 
8War II to support the war effort; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Barbara Talaski has lived in her house on  
10Carpenter Street for 83 years; her street was  named in memory 
11of her husband, Steve, a founding member of the Calumet Park 
12Fire Department during the Great Depression and the longest 
13active volunteer fireman in the State of Illinois; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Barbara Talaski was a member of the Calumet Park 
15Fire Department Women's Auxiliary; therefore, be it
  
 

  
16    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
17HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we  
18congratulate Barbara Rose Talaski on her 100th birthday and we 
19wish her many more wonderful years; and be it further
