HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate Johnny Waity on achieving 
4the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest rank and most coveted 
5honor in Scouting; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Johnny Waity is a member of St. Hubert Boy Scout 
7Troop 399 in Hoffman Estates; through his dedication and hard 
8work, he has demonstrated that he lives by the
principles of 
9the Scout Oath and Law in his daily life; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, An Eagle Service
Project is required to be of 
11significant value to the community; since the 4th grade, Johnny 
12Waity has been volunteering with the Almost Home Foundation, a 
13rescue shelter for dogs and cats; for his project, he raised 
14funds to purchase supplies for the foundation, operated a food 
15and supply drive for the animals, and reorganized a storage 
16room at the foundation's facility; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Johnny Waity sets a fine example for his peers and 
18friends through his leadership, hard work, and
commitment; and
  
 
19    WHEREAS, Johnny Waity is a junior at Conant High School; he 
20plans to attended college and study computer programming; and

1    WHEREAS, Johnny Waity will be  recognized at the Eagle Court 
2of Honor on October 7, 2018 at St. Hubert Catholic Church; 
3therefore, be it
  
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
5HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
6congratulate Johnny Waity on achieving the rank of Eagle Scout, 
7and we wish him the best in all his future endeavors; and be it 
8further
  
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
10presented to Johnny Waity as a symbol of our respect and 
11esteem.
