HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 





  
2    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
3HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that the 
4Health and Financial Impact of Gun Violence Task Force is 
5hereby created to study the health and financial impact that 
6gun violence has on the lives of citizens of Illinois and to 
7determine if gun violence is a state health crisis; and be it 
8further
 
9    RESOLVED, That the Task Force shall consist of the 
10following members, who shall serve without compensation:
11        (1) 6 members of the House of Representatives, 3 
12    appointed by the Speaker of the House and 3 appointed by 
13    the Minority Leader of the House;
14        (2) 2 members of the business community, 1 appointed by 
15    the Speaker of the House and 1 appointed by the Minority 
16    Leader of the House; and
17        (3) 2 members of the health care community, 1 appointed 
18    by the Speaker of the House and 1 appointed by the Minority 
19    Leader of the House; and be it further
 
20    RESOLVED, That the members of the Task Force shall select a 
21chairperson from amongst its members and determine the  number 
22and schedule of meetings; and be it further

1    RESOLVED, That the Illinois Department of Public Health 
2shall provide administrative support; and be it further
 
3    RESOLVED, That the report filed with the Clerk of the House 
4of Representatives shall be provided to the Clerk in electronic 
5form only, in the manner that the Clerk shall direct; and be it 
6further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That the Task Force shall provide its report to 
8the House of Representatives on or before January 9, 2019, and 
9upon the filing of its report, the Task Force is dissolved.
