| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 | | Representatives wish to congratulate Frank E. Lenti on his |
| 4 | | accomplishments; and

| 5 | | WHEREAS, Frank Lenti graduated from St. Ailbe's in 1965 and |
| 6 | | from Mt. Carmel High School in 1969; he graduated from Loyola |
| 7 | | University in 1974; and
|
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Frank Lenti served as a graduate assistant under |
| 9 | | legendary Coach Lou Holtz at the University of
Arkansas; he |
| 10 | | began his Chicago-area coaching career at St. Barnabas Grammar |
| 11 | | School, St.
Francis De Sales High School, and Thornton High |
| 12 | | School; and
|
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Frank Lenti was named Mount Carmel's 18th head |
| 14 | | football coach in April of 1984, and has
compiled a record of |
| 15 | | 374 wins and 77 losses; he currently holds the Illinois state |
| 16 | | record for
the number of wins by a head coach at one school; |
| 17 | | and
|
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Under Frank Lenti, Mount Carmel has qualified for |
| 19 | | the state playoffs 33 times in his 34 seasons as
head coach; he |
| 20 | | led the school to eleven state championships in 16 state title |
| 21 | | game
appearances; in addition, he led the team to six Prep Bowl |
