HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, Illinois became the 21st state on December 3, 1818 
3and thus, is celebrating its
bicentennial this year; and
  
 
4    WHEREAS, In celebration of the 200th birthday of Illinois, 
5the Bicentennial Commission, in
collaboration with the 
6Illinois Grape Growers & Vintners Association, has announced an 
7Illinois-grown
Rose as the official wine of the Illinois 
8Bicentennial; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, One of the 16 wines chosen is LoveLocks 2017 
10Chambourcin Dry Rose crafted at
Danenberger Family Vineyards in 
11New Berlin; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Susan Sullivan Danenberger of Danenberger Family 
13Vineyards began making wine
just eight years ago on their 
14Centennial farm, which has been in the family since the 
15mid-1800s; therefore, be it
  
 

  
16    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
17HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
18congratulate Susan Sullivan Danenberger and Danenberger Family 
19Vineyards on producing one of the official Illinois 
20Bicentennial wines; and be it further

1    RESOLVED, That during the 200th birthday year of Illinois, 
2we celebrate and honor the Sullivan
Family Centennial Farm, 
3which has been a staple of agriculture in Sangamon County for

4decades; and be it further
  
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to Susan Sullivan Danenberger as
a token of 
7congratulation and esteem in producing LoveLocks 2017 
8Chambourcin Dry Rose, an
official Illinois Bicentennial wine.
