| 1 | HOUSE RESOLUTION
| ||||||
| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives would like to congratulate the members
of the | ||||||
| 4 | Franklin Park track and field teams, the Bobcats, on their | ||||||
| 5 | finishes at the SIJHSAA Class L state track
meet on May 12, | ||||||
| 6 | 2018; the boys track and field team finished second in the | ||||||
| 7 | State and the girls team finished
11th; and
| ||||||
| 8 | WHEREAS, The Franklin Park boys track and field team went | ||||||
| 9 | undefeated in 2018 regular season
competition, including a | ||||||
| 10 | regional championship; and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, 8th grader Caden Bee won the state championship in | ||||||
| 12 | the 100m hurdles and 400 meters,
setting new school and State | ||||||
| 13 | records in both races; he also set a new school record in the | ||||||
| 14 | 200m race, in
which he finished second; and
| ||||||
| 15 | WHEREAS, Caden Bee went undefeated in the 100m hurdles and | ||||||
| 16 | the 400m over the course of
the 2018 season, in addition to his | ||||||
| 17 | three separate state championships; he was also undefeated in | ||||||
| 18 | the
200m race until his second place finish at the state meet; | ||||||
| 19 | and | ||||||
| 20 | WHEREAS, The team of Caden Bee, Caden Inlow, Cayden Harris, | ||||||
| 21 | and Brayden Smith won the state
championship in the 4x100m | ||||||

| |||||||
| 1 | relay, finishing with a school-record time of 46.45; the relay | ||||||
| 2 | team was
undefeated for the entire 2018 season; and | ||||||
| 3 | WHEREAS, The 4x200m relay team consisting of Jonny Eyman, | ||||||
| 4 | Caden Inlow, Eli Davis, and Brayden Smith
finished second in | ||||||
| 5 | the State, also setting a new school record time of 1:39.58; | ||||||
| 6 | and | ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, The 4x400m relay team of Brayden Smith, Josh | ||||||
| 8 | Guenard, Jonny Eyman, and Cayden Harris
placed eighth in the | ||||||
| 9 | State with a time of 3:57.89; Bryson Quinn finished fifth in | ||||||
| 10 | the pole vault,
leaping 9'6"; and | ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, The 7th grade 4x200m relay team of Jervace Mayes, | ||||||
| 12 | Isaak Williams, Griffin Day, and Aden
Susmena placed fourth in | ||||||
| 13 | the State with a time of 1:46.81; and | ||||||
| 14 | WHEREAS, Katelyn Biegeleisen won the state championship in | ||||||
| 15 | the high jump, leaping an impressive five
feet; and | ||||||
| 16 | WHEREAS, Katie Allen finished second in the pole vault, | ||||||
| 17 | vaulting 8'6"; prior to her second place finish at
the state | ||||||
| 18 | meet, she was undefeated in 2018; and
| ||||||
| 19 | WHEREAS, Teyah Cape finished fifth in the 7th grade 100m | ||||||
| 20 | race with a time of 13.15; and

| 1 | WHEREAS, The Bobcats are coached by Franklin Park Athletic | ||||||
| 2 | Director Suzie Worman, Head
Coaches Alex Koebele, Tyson Moore, | ||||||
| 3 | and Amy Brubaker, and Assistant Coaches Cory Harris, Elizabeth
| ||||||
| 4 | Smith, Andrew Miller, and Jamie Powless; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 5 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | ||||||
| 6 | HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | ||||||
| 7 | congratulate the boys and girls track teams of Franklin Park | ||||||
| 8 | Middle School
on all of their accomplishments at the SIJHSAA | ||||||
| 9 | state track and field meet on May 12, 2018; and be it further
| ||||||
| 10 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 11 | presented to Franklin Park Middle School
as a symbol of our | ||||||
| 12 | esteem and respect.
