HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to recognize Christian Liberty Academy on 
4the occasion of its 50th anniversary; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Christian Liberty Academy was founded in 1968 by 
6Dr. Paul D. Lindstrom as a ministry of the Church of Christian 
7Liberty and moved to Arlington Heights in 1985; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, The Academy teaches the historic Christian faith 
9and the conservative and constitutional principles of our 
10nation's founding and history; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, The Academy has had over 1,000 graduates from its 
12local campus and 10,000 graduates through its home education 
13program; the program emphasizes the importance of strong 
14academics and Christian character; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Academy students routinely exceed national, 
16state, and local averages on standardized tests, receiving no 
17federal, state, or local funding; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, The Academy currently serves families located 
19across Chicagoland, with many families coming from other 
20countries; and

1    WHEREAS, Christian Liberty Academy respects and honors 
2those who serve in our nation's military and local police 
3forces; therefore, be it
  
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
5HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
6recognize the 50th anniversary of Christian Liberty Academy and 
7thank them for their contributions to the community; and be it 
8further
  
  
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
10presented to Christian Liberty Academy as an expression of our 
11esteem and respect.
