HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Mariyah 
4Kaitlyn Howard of Beecher, who passed away on March 31, 2018; 
5and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Mariyah Howard was born in Hazel Crest to Carl 
7Thiele and Wendy Howard on July 23, 1997; she was a cheerleader 
8at Illinois Lutheran High School in Crete and graduated from 
9Beecher High School; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Mariyah Howard worked at Beecher Manor and enjoyed 
11taking care of the residents; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Mariyah Howard enjoyed spending time with family 
13and friends; she loved cheerleading and her dog, Minnie; she 
14will be remembered as a kind person who was there for anyone in 
15need; she made sure no one was left out; she often performed 
16random acts of kindness that friends and family refer to as 
17"Mariyah's Mark"; she was a bright light in the world and will 
18be missed by many; and
  
 
19    WHEREAS, Mariyah Howard was preceded in death by her 
20grandfather, Robert Howard Sr. and her uncles, Timothy Howard 
21and Tom Thiele; and

1    WHEREAS, Mariyah Howard is survived by her parents; her 
2half-brother, Nathan Lannan; her grandmother, Eleanor Howard; 
3her grandfather, Carl Thiele Sr.; her grandmother, Eileen Gal; 
4and her many aunts, uncles, and cousins; therefore, be it
  
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
6HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
7mourn the passing of Mariyah Kaitlyn Howard and extend our 
8sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew 
9and loved her; and be it further
  
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
11presented to the family of Mariyah Howard as an expression of 
12our deepest sympathy.
