HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate James P. Antos on the 
4occasion of his retirement as Principal of Brother Rice High 
5School in Chicago; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, James Antos has been Principal at Brother Rice 
7High School since 1998; he joined Brother Rice in 1979 and has 
8served the school and its students in numerous capacities, 
9including as teacher, dean, baseball coach, and assistant 
10principal; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Prior to his time at Brother Rice High School, 
12James Antos worked at Queen of Peace High School from 1974 to 
131979 and at Moraine Valley Community College in 1979; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, James Antos graduated from St. Laurence High 
15School in 1966 and served in the United States Army from June 
161969 to December 1970; he earned his Bachelor of Arts in 
17Psychology with a Minor in Education from Illinois State 
18University (ISU) in 1973 and his Master of Arts in General 
19Experimental Psychology with a Minor in History from ISU in 
201976; and
  
 
  
21    WHEREAS, James Antos has been married to Mary since 1973;

1they have one son, Justin (Samantha), and a grandson, Milo; 
2therefore, be it
  
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
4HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
5congratulate James P. Antos on his retirement as principal of 
6Brother Rice High School and we wish him the best in all his 
7future endeavors; and be it further
  
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9presented to James Antos as an expression of our esteem and 
10respect.
