| 5 | | WHEREAS, Franchisee Guy Hollis was attracted to Berwyn |
| 6 | | because of the sense of pride he felt from its residents; he |
| 7 | | rode his bike through town to get to know the area better and |
| 8 | | knew the location was perfect for a brand new Culver's; in |
| 9 | | 2011, Berwyn's Culver's was built on Roosevelt Road, replacing |
| 10 | | a vacant mixed-use space; and

| 11 | | WHEREAS, The Berwyn Culver's has had a positive impact in |
| 12 | | the city ever since; it invests in the community that invests |
| 13 | | in them, giving back 1% of their total sales through various |
| 14 | | Berwyn-centric endeavors, including community-focused events |
| 15 | | and fundraisers, providing jobs to residents, donations to |
| 16 | | local schools and even donating a scoreboard to the Berwyn Park |
| 17 | | District; and

| 18 | | WHEREAS, The Berwyn Culver's has participated in notable |
| 19 | | local events like Berwyn's Oktoberfest, where brand mascot, |
| 20 | | Scoopie, makes highly anticipated appearances in the family |
| 21 | | pavilion, as well as the annual Berwyn Development Corporation |
| 22 | | Zombie Walk and Pub Crawl, where they host face painting before |
