| 5 | | WHEREAS, Throughout its long and distinguished history, |
| 6 | | Girl Scouting
has inspired millions of girls and women with the |
| 7 | | highest ideals
of character, conduct, and patriotism; and

| 8 | | WHEREAS, Through Girl Scouting, girls gain courage, |
| 9 | | confidence,
and character, making their communities and the |
| 10 | | world
a better place; and

| 11 | | WHEREAS, Girl Scouting takes an active role in increasing |
| 12 | | awareness of the opportunities available to girls today; |
| 13 | | opportunities that expand their horizons in math, science,

| 14 | | health and fitness, technology, and community service; and
|
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Over 2.6 million current Girl Scout members |
