HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate Brian Patrick O'Hara on 
4achieving the rank of Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of 
5America; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, The Eagle Scout Award is Boy Scouting's highest 
7honor; nationally, only six percent of eligible Boy Scouts earn 
8the award; to earn it, Scouts have to complete 21 required 
9merit badges and plan and carry out their Eagle project, which 
10is required to be of significant value to the community; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Brian O'Hara's Eagle project was completed at St. 
12Viator's High School, where he built a bench, and landscaped 
13the waiting area for the parents, and an area around the 
14Science Building; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Through his dedication and hard work, Brian O'Hara 
16has demonstrated that he lives his daily life by the principles 
17of the Scout Oath and Law; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Brian O'Hara is a graduate of St. Viator's High 
19School in Arlington Heights; he is currently enrolled in the 
20Business Honors Program at Loyola University; and

1    WHEREAS, Brian O'Hara sets a fine example for his peers and 
2friends through his leadership, hard work, and commitment; 
3therefore, be it
  
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
5HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
6congratulate Brian O'Hara on achieving the rank of Eagle Scout 
7with the Boy Scouts of America, and we commend him for his 
8dedication and determination; and be it further
  
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
10presented to Brian O'Hara as an expression of our esteem and 
11respect.
