HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to recognize the National Federation of 
4Independent Business as it celebrates its 75th anniversary; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, The National Federation of Independent Business 
6has been helping small business owners to promote and protect 
7their right to own, operate, and grow their businesses since 
8May 20, 1943; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Today, the National Federation of Independent 
10Business represents nearly 11,000 small businesses in 
11Illinois; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, The National Federation of Independent Business 
13is the leading advocate for small business owners; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, The National Federation of Independent Business 
15is the only major business organization whose policies and 
16positions are established by the members directly, not by 
17executive staff or a board of directors; therefore, be it
  
 
  
18    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
19HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we  
20congratulate the National Federation of Independent Business

1on its 75th anniversary and recognize its many substantial 
2achievements on behalf of the business industry through these 
3years; and be it further
  
 
4    RESOLVED, That a copy of this resolution be delivered to 
5Mark Grant, the Illinois State Director of the National 
6Federation of Independent Business.
