HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate Craig Garrett on 
4the occasion of his retirement after 30 years with the 
5Legislative Information System (LIS); and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Craig Garrett began his career with LIS in the 
71980s as a messenger, Computer Operator, and as an Information 
8System Analyst; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, During his time at LIS, he worked with legislative 
10support agencies, the Journal Room, which supports numerous 
11legislative applications, and on the House Floor with the 
12Chamber Voting System; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, When Craig Garrett is not working, he enjoys 
14attending car shows, especially the Route 66 Mother Road 
15Festival, watching NASCAR racing, and working in his yard; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Craig Garrett was part owner of Checkered Flag 
17Racing Tours, which provided trips to various NASCAR races; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Craig Garrett and his wife Julia have four 
19children, Kerri, Craig II, Robert, and Stephanie, and four 
20grandchildren, Brittany, Tiffany, Chalen, and Gabi; therefore,

2    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
3HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
4congratulate Craig Garrett on the occasion of his retirement 
5and thank him for 30 years of service to the State of Illinois; 
6and be it further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to Craig Garrett as a symbol of our esteem and 
9respect.
