HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to recognize the induction of Glenda 
4Zanders into the Illinois Outdoor Hall of Fame; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Glenda Zanders trapped, fished, hunted, and 
6participated in shooting sports throughout her childhood; she 
7fished commercially on the Kaskaskia River with her father, 
8Glenn; her upbringing instilled in her a love for the outdoors; 
9and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, as the Chief Procurement Officer and co-owner of 
11Zanders Sporting Goods, Inc., she has supported the Illinois 
12Department of Natural Resources Wingshooting Clinic Program, a 
13program developed to provide instruction and improve the 
14shooting skills of beginning and experienced hunters, and the 
15Illinois Sportsmen Caucus, the largest bi-partisan legislative 
16caucus in the State of Illinois; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Glenda Zanders has also supported youth 
18involvement in outdoor sports through organizations such as 
19Ducks Unlimited, Boy Scouts of America, and the National Wild 
20Turkey Federation, as well as they Illinois Conservation 
21Foundation; and

1    WHEREAS, Glenda Zanders has demonstrated that she has made 
2significant contributions to increasing the number of people 
3involved with outdoor sports and is a deserving inductee of the 
4Illinois Outdoor Hall of Fame; therefore, be it
  
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
6HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
7recognize the induction of Glenda Zanders into the Illinois 
8Outdoor Hall of Fame; and be it further
  
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
10presented to Glenda Zanders.
