| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 | | Representatives wish to congratulate Mayor Mark W. Eckert and |
| 4 | | the people of Belleville on the rededication of the Belleville |
| 5 | | City Hall on October 21, 2017; and
|
| 6 | | WHEREAS, The Belleville City Hall was designed in 1959 by |
| 7 | | Architect Charles E. King, well known for his Mid-century |
| 8 | | Modern design style; and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Renovations to Belleville City Hall include |
| 10 | | upgrades in security to the council chambers and the public |
| 11 | | access
areas of the city clerk and the city treasurer's |
| 12 | | offices, along with upgrades for compliance with the Americans |
| 13 | | with Disabilities Act to restrooms, water fountains, |
| 14 | | entrances, parking, and public access areas: energy efficiency |
| 15 | | upgrades have been provided throughout the building; and
|
| 16 | | WHEREAS, A plaque commemorating the renovation will be |
| 17 | | displayed at the city hall listing all the
current elected |
| 18 | | officials; therefore, be it
|
| 19 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE |
| 20 | | HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we |
